      ___________________________

The songs chosen for the two 1999 volumes of the "best" of Sheep are actually from a wide variety of sources, not all of them "Sheep" releases per se (see credits above on each song). Furthermore, there are many fully grand Sheep achievements not represented at all, though the truly "obvious" well-known long-time smash hit early songs all appear on Volume 2.

Many tracks were remixed from the original 4-track cassette masters (or stereo cassettes for the very early stuff). In some cases I have digitally synched vocal overdubs with the original remixed music backing tracks (which totals six tracks, you see).

The completely unauthorized use of the Pickwick Records logo here was playing off of the overall cheapie look of Volume 1 and the rather short length of each of the compilations (both could actually have fit on one CD). (Pickwick was a "budget" label from the 1970's and earlier that sold unique compilations by major artists for $1.99 at places like Thrifty's in Covina--the catch was that they only licensed an average of 8 songs per LP!)  It's a JOKE, ya see?
